The firm was recently a proud sponsor of the 29th annual Bob Moretti Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament is held to honor the former Speaker of the California State Assembly and to provide scholarships to deserving college students affiliated with the Capitol.

Matheny Sears Linkert Jaime was a Children’s Sponsor at the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates – for Children) Lawyers Helping Kids fundraising event. Honorable Stacy Boulware Eurie, Presiding Judge of the Sacramento County Juvenile Court, was awarded the CASA Impact Award for her dedication and service to local children and families at the event.

In The List of Law Firms, appearing in its January 25 2013 edition, Sacramento Business Journal ranked Matheny Sears Linkert and Jaime at no. 18.

Matheny Sears Linkert & Jaime was a Partner Sponsor at the 8th Annual Scholarship Dinner for Cristo Rey High School. The Scholarship Dinner is Cristo Rey’s biggest fundraiser of the year. The Scholarship Fund provides essential financial aid for students.

With the arrival of the new year, Daniel was elected to the new board positions of Media Chair and Charity Co-Chair with the Barristers’ Club of Sacramento, a subsection of the Sacramento County Bar Association. As media chair, he will take the lead on promoting the organization and writing articles for the Sacramento Lawyer Magazine. Continuing from last year as Charity Chair, Daniel is also involved in the organization’s commitment to community service.
