Nicole I. Kuklo
Associate
Ms. Kuklo is an associate with Matheny Sears Linkert & Jaime LLP. In May of 2024, she graduated from McGeorge School of Law with distinction, earning her Juris Doctorate and JD Certifications of Concentration in Water & Environmental Law and Capital Lawyering.
Before attending law school, Ms. Kuklo was a horse trainer for over 15 years. Her work culminated in winning a position in the Top 5 at the National Cutting Horse World Finals. Training horses taught her invaluable lessons of integrity and discipline that she carried with her into the legal profession.
During her time as an evening student at McGeorge, she continued to work with horses at a cutting horse ranch in Jackson, CA. She also competed in Moot Court for 2 years, serving as Honor Board and then Executive Board member. She made the semi-finals at the 47th Annual Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition and the UC Davis Asylum & Refugee Law Moot Court Competition. She also participated in the Prisoner Civil Rights Mediation Clinic, working with Federal judges and prisoners to make sure the prisoner had a voice during their civil rights mediations. She learned the value of hearing both sides of a story with an open mind and gained an appreciation for different mediation techniques.
Ms. Kuklo maintains her love of the outdoors, raising her horse, hiking in the foothills, and helping on the cutting horse ranch in her free time.
