Zachary A. Jayousi

Born and raised in Sacramento, Zachary Jayousi graduated from Granite Bay High School. Upon graduating from high school, he pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with a minor in Business Administration. After returning to Sacramento, he earned his Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law, graduating with Great Distinction and was inducted into the prestigious Traynor Honor Society. During his time at McGeorge School of Law, Mr. Jayousi was an active member of the Moot Court Honors Board, earning recognition for his advocacy and legal writing skills, including receiving a Best Oralist Award and winning the Best Overall Brief at the UC Davis National Moot Court Competition.
In 2023, Mr. Jayousi joined Matheny Sears Linkert & Jaime LLP as a law clerk, where he gained valuable experience across a range of practice areas, including transportation law, personal injury, products liability, public entity defense, employment law, and contract disputes. His broad legal background positions him to help his clients throughout the course of litigation.
Outside of his professional work, Mr. Jayousi enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing basketball, and watching the San Francisco 49ers every Sunday.
