Matheny Sears Linkert & Jaime, LLP has been representing clients across California for nearly 50 years. Since 1974, the firm has handled the defense of corporations, partnerships, public entities, and individuals in a wide variety of legal and factual circumstances. Over the last several decades, we have proven our ability to defend catastrophic injury cases successfully. We have developed a loyal clientele by providing highly responsive and exceptional legal services.

The foundation of our firm success is rooted in the individual attention each of our partners give every case. Our partners actively formulate a strategy with their associates for each case from the day the firm is retained, ensuring our clients receive guidance from knowledgeable and experienced attorneys from the outset. We are known for quickly exposing young lawyers to depositions, mediations, and the courtroom but not at the expense of what is best for each case. Partners are actively involved in case strategy from start to finish. There is no “hand-off” to the trial attorney shortly before trial. This collaborative approach between partners and associates ensures the entire litigation team is fully prepared to effectively resolve the case. It also gives us the greatest advantage at trial and has contributed to our reputation as skilled advocates in the courtroom.

More than Legal Services
Matheny Sears has a long history of involvement in philanthropic endeavors. From donating to organizations in the Sacramento area that provide services to battered and abused women to participating in fundraisers that help support the Ronald McDonald House Charities, the firm is dedicated to giving back in a variety of ways.
Matheny Sears also takes pride in its well-established involvement in the Cristo Rey Network, a program that assists teens attending inner-city-high schools. Through a unique and innovative process, the Cristo Rey Network arms teens with the knowledge, experiences, and skills necessary to rise above their current situation. Matheny Sears has employed these students over the years and provided them with computers when they leave to attend college. Several of our students have returned to work at Matheny Sears upon graduation.
