Jeanne Choi is a litigation associate with Matheny, Sears, Linkert & Jaime LLP and has been with the firm since 2019 when she began as a law clerk. Ms. Choi earned her J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 2020 and passed the October 2020 California Bar Exam.
During law school, Ms. Choi discovered her passion for advocacy and litigation after joining the Trial Practice Honors Board and serving as Administrative Director for the King Hall Negotiations Team. Ms. Choi was also the External Relations Committee Chair for the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and an editor of the Journal of Juvenile Law and Policy.
Prior to law school, Ms. Choi received her B.A. in Philosophy and Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she graduated with honors. She also received Distinction in the Major from the Department of Sociology for her comparative thesis on how Islamophobia and Orientalism can affect the way the media depicts religious terrorist acts committed by ISIS versus Buddhist nationalist groups in Myanmar.
Although born on the East Coast, Ms. Choi spent most of her childhood growing up in Placer County and exploring Northern California. In her spare time, she enjoys golfing, skiing, playing with her chow chow, and solving Sudoku or crossword puzzles.
